A coating pan is a pharmaceutical processing machine used to coat tablets, pills, or granules with a thin layer of film, sugar, or enteric coating. It is widely used in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, confectionery, and chemical industries for functional and aesthetic coating of solid dosage forms.
Working Principle
Tablets are placed in a rotating stainless steel pan mounted on a shaft. As the pan rotates, coating solution is sprayed onto the tumbling tablets through a spray gun. Simultaneously, hot air is introduced through a perforated duct to evaporate the solvent and dry the coating evenly.
